The Heresy Continues

Well Sci-Fi's Sasqutch Saturday is finally over with. The release of another B-Grade horror movie portraying the creature we really know as a gentle giant, as a killer.

The last movie ever to show a peaceful Sasquatch was "Harry and the Hendersons", and for some strange reason, it was a huge hit that spawned a television series.

Without ruining too many details of the new movie, the creature shows a lust for killing, supposedly because it's protecting it's turf and feels threatened because of the guns in play.

Even the characters involved showed very little emotion for the loss of their comrades.

The screenwriter stated he originally wanted to write the movie without the creature killing it but the powers to be wanted thei gore. The writer stated he wanted to stay trued to the legend of the creature. Unfortuately, standing on the high ground for priciples was not enough to say, "No...I will not do that".

The end result is another movie which will portray to an (generally uneducated about the true nature of the creature), audience, that may see this creature as a threat and not a natuaral wonder as it truly is.

And they "book end" with other films that protray it similarly.

Not only does this misinformation pose a threat to people that enter the forests of this great nation, but also to the peaceful docile giants that occasionally roam them.
