OK, What is this? Black Bear Cub? Maybe - looks awful small... See pic to below for closeup...

Nothing big and hairy here, but did get some very crisp and clear Barred Owls... and it was a successful test of my new parabolic audio recording system with Edirol R-09 Professional Portable Recorder.

Below are two audio files of wood knocks witnessed during the NESRA Fall 2007 Bigfoot Research Expedition in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate, New York - one original; one processed/enhanced for better clarity.
The original recording of the unedited knocks is very faint and was recorded from a considerable distance. They are barely audible.
The knocks were recorded on the morning of 10/14/2007 at 12:26am from across a large pond (approx. 3/4 mile distance shore-to-shore) and the source sounded farther back into the woodline from the far shore by at least another 1/4 mile if not more, though that is certainly speculative.
We were camped at the trail end of a 3.5 mile long hiking trail where this was recorded and while there was a secondary trail that followed the shore line of the pond, that trail started and ended at our campsite. The trail is accessed via a 7-mile unimproved dirt road and the location is remote, mountain wilderness habitat. There was no evidence of other campers/hikers in the area to our knowledge and the source of the sound was seemingly off-trail and possibly in/around an area we had baited prior with apples, bacon baits and pheromone chips (again, pure speculation based on where it sounded like it was coming from.) Interestingly, (2) of the pheromone chips hung had been taken when we investigated the area the following day and the third remained. None of the other baits had been touched. The bait locations were waypointed via GPS to ensure return investigation could be pinpointed off trail without error.
After some enhancement and filtering in Steinberg WaveLab, the recorded knocks became much more discernible.
Suggestion: Turn up your speakers or headset volume!

Essex County, NY - Central Adirondacks - June 2006 Trail Cam Shots
Here is an empty frame shot from my trail cams I deployed in June 2006 in Essex County, NY - central Adirondack mountains. The location was a heavily-wooded, remote location adjacent to a small river/stream.

After the Spring 2008 NESRA & MonsterQuest Expedition (4/25 - 4/27/08 in the Adirondack Mountains outside Whitehall, NY), I was checking my various trail cameras and images captured for any sign of wildlife.

The following images are photos and screen captures from a video from an alleged Sasquatch creature that was both filmed and photographed by a group of three people in Giant Sequoia National Park in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The shots are claimed to have been taken in October of 2005.
NESRA members Steve Kulls (Squatchdetective) and Chuck Adinolfi recently participated in an interview and field report prepared by Fox 23 News - Albany, NY. The segments focused on the plausibility of Sasquatch inhabiting the the Adirondack Mountain forest of upstate New York and the importance of research and evidence-gathering in solving the mystery of Bigfoot.
'The Bigfoot Chronicles' aired in 3-part segments beginning 2/22/2008.
